A. Abdul Tanko

C.E.O, Aimex Focus Ltd.

Abdul is the CEO of Aimex Focus Ltd. London. He is a specialist in PR/Media, Investment, Marketing, Project-design and Management Consultant. In addition he is a director of a couple of other companies, including City Wastes Bioenergy Solutions (CWBS) UK, Vassili Group and a trustee of a number of charities.

He has a Master’s Degree in financial journalism (1986/88), a post-graduate diploma in Berlin, Germany (1985) and higher level trainings including a scholarship to the English Speaking Union sponsored summer school at Christ College, University of Oxford, on leadership, communications, management and international relations (1989).

Abdul Tanko has worked for many publications in various capacities in London like the West Africa Magazine, African Times, Gemini News Service and Africa Economic Digest and once a correspondent of Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH (DPA; German Press Agency) in West Africa. He was publisher and Editor-in-Chief of an international business travel and investment magazine called AIMET International in London. Writing publications in some international media and speaking at many international forums, including business seminars at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington DC, African American Travel Association (ATA) Congress and Oil Spill Rapid Response on emerging economic development, international trade and tourism in Africa.

He has spearheaded various private and public organisations like housing associations, Excell Care Nursing Agency, Justicia Law firm in London and Home Office Youth Development Project in London and Sheffield.

As a consultant he has worked on projects in the Middle East, Asia, America, the Caribbean, Central and West Africa and is currently operating with special interest in renewable energy, commodities, mining, development projects, housing, tourism development, finance or project funding and education.

He has been honoured with some international awards in 2003 (1st International “Law & Democracy in Africa” by Africa Legal and Civil Right Centre Washington DC; 2004 (Caribbean Economic Empowerment Diaspora Foundation) and 2010 (UK-Pakistan Business Achievement Awards) for promoting understanding and economic wellbeing of developing countries and in certain institutions.

Mr. Tanko is currently working with team of educationists to establish the first non-profit private University in Africa called Africa Imperial University College (under the concept of social enterprise) and a dental/health centre with Indian doctors both of which he will head as the President.

HUGH GRACE

Senior International Business Executive and Consultant

Hugh Grace has worked in Major International Companies and European Trade Associations; and with US and EU Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), specialising in international communications, marketing, sales and company launches. He has been involved in sourcing of products and companies; marketing and selling to the Middle East and Africa; advising SMEs and governments on process and institutional structures. He has introduced new communication web-based platforms to large international organisations. He is an experienced Associate of the Institute for Independent Business (IIB) with access to a worldwide network of senior executives.

Nigeria – Rivers State Sustainable Development Authority; analysis and innovative institutional recommendations for support and development of SMEs outside the oil and gas sector:
South Africa – Launching of a Green utility power plant using carbon. Advanced carbon based Technology, producing no emissions with high level electricity efficiency output. SME to go global following pilot plant operation and proof of concept.
UNICEF – SME launch of a new educational product for the Congo with UNICEF; marketing plan to broaden the product offer into an educational kit, including associated investment between SMEs and International companies.

Business interests in the oil, water and gas industries, sourcing from Asia/China and selling to Africa/Middle East. Mr Girish N. Raval, Director, AIMEX Focus, an expert in international trade and negotiations with more than 40 years of experience in export/ import of fabrics, leather goods, drinks, steel and general merchandise.

He is very knowledgeable in the export of agricultural produce such as coffee and other cash crops, and wood/wood products.  He worked for the government in East Africa for a few years before turning to business. He has strong history of connectivity with East, Southern and West African public and private sectors.

He was extensively involved in the development of FAATIS concept – Annual African Tourism Investment Summit with the World Bank Group/IMF Africa Club and other groups in Washington D, UK and Africa.

 He served a couple of times as President of Rotary Club of Westminster West District 1130 and continue to support charitable deeds to various African and Asian communities on the continents where possible.

HADJA HOUREIRA

Executive Director, AIMEX Focus Ltd.

Similarly in Central Africa, we have been working with Norga Voyages Razak based in CAMEROON, with Hadja Houreira, the Managing Director,  providing advice and consultancy services in undertaking small and medium size construction projects funded by the Government, African Development and World Bank.

They consist of building and refurbishment of commercial, government offices, hospitals, schools, roads, markets and official and private residential properties. She is a prominent member of the Cameroon chamber of Commerce with and Executive position in the Northern State.

She is  a senior Vice Presidents of the Cameroon Business Women Group, a former Council member of the World Business Women Federation and  had been  by the central Government, the State and African Development Bank for being dynamic and meeting of project deadlines or first complete nationwide contracts.

Active in politics with lots of philanthropic works such as supporting off springs of AIDS victims who passed away and bright kids from poorest homes to receive secondary and university education.
